    What is KYC and why is it required?
    KYC (Know Your Customer) is a mandatory verification process to establish your identity before conducting financial transactions. It's required by regulatory authorities to prevent fraud and ensure compliance.
    Is KYC mandatory on Abhieo?
    KYC is optional but highly recommended. Without KYC, you can only transact up to ₹999. Once you reach this limit, you must complete KYC to continue using Abhieo services.
    Who is eligible for KYC on Abhieo?

    • Indian citizens

    • Tax residents of India (and no other country)

    How do I complete my KYC on Abhieo?

    Is the KYC process safe and secure?
    Yes, the KYC process is completely safe and online. Abhieo does NOT store your KYC documents and photos
    • they're used only for one-time verification with UIDAI.
    How much does KYC cost on Abhieo?
    KYC costs ₹5 per verification attempt. This fee is charged for every successful OR unsuccessful validation and is non-refundable.
    Why does Abhieo charge ₹5 for KYC?
    Abhieo pays a fee to UIDAI and other authorities for every KYC verification (successful or unsuccessful). As a bootstrapped startup, they cannot currently absorb these costs and pass them to users.
    When is the ₹5 deducted for KYC?
    The ₹5 is auto-debited from your wallet as soon as you click on the KYC tab to start the process, whether you complete it or not.
    What happens if my KYC verification fails?
    If KYC fails (incorrect Aadhaar details, OTP not submitted, etc.), the ₹5 fee is still deducted and is non-refundable. You can try again with correct details.
    How do I know if my KYC is completed?

    • You'll see a KYC icon on the Home Page (blue strip at top)

    • Tap the icon to see your KYC details and status

    • You'll receive confirmation via email/SMS
    Can I do KYC for my family members?
    Each person needs their own Abhieo account and must complete KYC individually using their own Aadhaar.
    Can I use the same Aadhaar for multiple Abhieo accounts?
    No, one Aadhaar can be linked to only one Abhieo account.
    Can minors (under 18) complete KYC?
    No, currently Abhieo doesn't support KYC for persons under 18 years of age.
    Can foreigners/NRIs use Abhieo?
    Currently, only Indian residents and tax residents of India are eligible for KYC. NRIs and foreign nationals may not be able to complete full KYC.
